¹Projects are grouped by Application Approved Date (Permission to Operate Date). "Projects" refer to a given interconnection address/project. Note that some projects contain multiple interconnection applications. For more information, see FAQ.

²All cost values are self-reported by applicants, and no additional verification has been performed. To remove erroneous data, the top and bottom 1% of applications have been removed prior to the creation of these charts. Additionally, all NEM Solar cost/watt values are represented using AC capacity, and all Energy Storage cost/watt values are represented using Storage Size (kW AC) and only applications received after August 1st, 2015 are displayed. ⁴SDG&E's application reporting format does not allow for the identification of paired generation and storage projects. Therefore, SDG&E is not represented in this chart..
